Home Schooling vs Public Schooling

Our family has a unique opportunity to see this in action as one grandson Taylor (14) and his sister Amanda (13) have been either home schooled or enrolled in charter schools for most of their education. Their cousins Tyler (15) and Lexi (12) have always attended public schools. They live 300 miles away from each other and so I only get to observe them together two or three times a year.

My Childhood With My Rom (Gypsy) Papa

My papa was born somewhere in Hungary. He was a member of the Romungre(Gypsy) group and gave me an incredible childhood. People are so confused about the Roma and this term has nothing to do with Italy or Romania. It is a distinct term, one of a few, used by the Roma people and the word 'gypsy' is insulting, a word that others have used for generations due to ignorance. I will use it as little as possible. This exerpt is taken from my personal journal and lovingly dedicated to the 500,000 Roma murdered in the concentration camps of WWII. Na Bister~
